Hello friends. I am so thrilled to be Gareth’s first guest blogger. We go back a long way and he is one of the most beautiful humans I know. As Gareth wrote in January, 2020 brought for him a lot of reflection. 2020 did the same for me and was in fact, transformational.

The gift it gave me was an opportunity to connect with who I am on a deep level and be more present, authentic and purposeful in my life. As I turned the page on 2020, I set an intention for how I wanted to continue this journey in 2021 and further connect with my Self.

What would it be like to feel fully connected to who you are and live a meaningful life from that place?

Being fully connected starts with being authentic and being authentic starts with honouring who you are. It’s a conscious connection to your whole Self that gives you permission to fully show up. The word authentic implies an original intent or purpose. Consider a seed. Every seed has a unique identity and true nature deeply embedded in it.

Like the seed, you are one of a kind and a unique gift to the world with the essence of who you are written into your very being. What does being authentic and true to your Self mean to you? Do certain words come to mind or resonate with you? When you think of those words, do they feel in alignment with how you are living your life?

Creating space to connect with your Self helps you be open, honest and clear about what you truly want, need and deserve. I invite you to take a few moments to do this now by sitting quietly somewhere. Maybe you have some soft music playing or an image that comes to mind that is calming and peaceful for you. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths sinking deeper into stillness with each breath. As you breathe, reflect on the following by letting your intuition guide you. A gentle reminder to do this without judgement or expectation, simply be:

I am…
I want…
I yearn for…
I deserve…

Honour any thoughts, emotions or feelings that came up for you. Acknowledge the gift you gave your Self in doing this, and the gift that you are to this world.

With love and gratitude, Carol
